A little bit of layering...

So my favourite time of year is just around the corner, and AW15 is everywhere already!

Yet again, shawls, ponchos and wraps are the item of choice... Layering is back.

Colours are bang on trend again, with deep purples, khaki's and beige being seen. Also Fringe- style, Boho and 'Modern' Military is set to be big until Spring 2016.

I recently purchased this gorgeous (and cheap) reversible tartan wrap from Primark. Very soft, great quality too for the price i paid.

 Primark Reversible Tartan Wrap £14

Along with that, i am also loving River Islands AW15 collection, including geo printed cardigans, turtel- neck jumpers and bright yellow jackets.

I love my slouchy cardigan from last years collection-

This was 'double dear' to be honest, a rather steep £40- but worth every penny!

My personal top 3 picks!

Top to bottom...
  • Lipsy Michelle Keegan Cowl Neck Poncho £30
  • New Look Black Fringed Poncho £19.99
  • River Island Grey Asymmetric Zip Cowl Neck Cardigan £35

As for footwear, you cannot go wrong with a boot! Whether it be ankle, wedge or knee!

Ankle Fringe Boots £18 from Primark & River Island Knee High Boots £129.

Until next time... xx

Make up of the day

So i haven't done one of these ' MOTD' posts, but i usually dabble all these on the world of Instagram. #addiction.

These are the products that i rely on, and more importantly- they do the job!

  • L'Oreal Paris Infallible Mattifying Primer & L'Oreal Paris Infallible Matte Foundation in Vanilla

I am currently obsessed with L' Oreal Infallible make up products, which include both the Mattifying Primer and Foundation. These both, hand in hand are fantastic. Ideal if you tend to get oily skin and are looking for even all over coverage that lasts all day.

  • Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 1
I go through sticks of these monthly, i have yet to come across a concealer that is incredibly high coverage, great value for money and easy to use. I do find though, that the shade 1 is so popular, that most stockists tend to sell out alot! So i always stock up...
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown
I had been tempted for a while... and here we are. Fellow bloggers and vloggers rave about the Brow Wiz, and i can see why. It has a retractable nib, which delivers precise intricate detail when drawing or filling in your brows. If like myself, you are not blessed with eyebrows, than i have to say this is probably the item for you. It is a little on the splurge side.... BUT worth every penny in the long run. I feel like this may last me a while, plus it comes with a brush on the other end!
  • MAC Blending Sponge
I have had a few of these 'sponges'. I have had the original Beauty Blender which is very expensive for what it is (£16 on Beauty Bay.com!), more recently Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and now MAC's Blending Sponge. So far its 'ok', its a lot more softer than the others out there, i find it does need more attention when blending in either foundations or concealers etc... But other than that, its fine. Unsure whether i will re- purchase again in the future.
  • MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Soft Ochre
Well i love this item! No, seriously i do. It does seem to be sold out most of the time, so if its available grab it quick... You can use it as a eyeshadow base/ primer, or alone. It does do an amazing job at staying put, no creasing which is great. Comes in many shades, either neutral or otherwise. Fab!
  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Midnight Cowboy
I was initially looking for Sidecar, but had sold out. So the next best thing i was offered was Midnight Cowboy. Its a gorgeous high pigmented shade, very pink too, can be used dry or with a damp brush. Easily applied too.
  • L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim Intense in Black
This is my second one of these, and i reckon this has replaced the Superstar Liner, but not to matter.
Incredible fine nib, intense colour- comes in 5 different colours altogether. It is so easy to use, and lasts pretty much all day. Perfect for that cat- eye look!
  • Jilly Pong Pong Cosmetics Highlighter
Hard to find, but great to get your hands on. Gorgeous on your cheeks or though your brow bone, long lasting.
  • Rimmel Volume Flash x10 Mascara in Extreme Black
Cult product of mine. Does the job, small thin brush, which is great on your lower lashes. Always end up returning to this.

So there is mine. let me know what your everyday products are.

That's it for now!

Ta xx

My little beauty haul....

So its been a while....

So i better jump right back in i guess.

Starting with my little beauty haul the other day.

I was craving a spurge, and i decided to be brave and buy the things i had my eye on for o so long.

So here is what i got...
  • MAC Select Cover Up, NW15
  • MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF15, NW20
  • MAC Prep + Prime Fix+
  • MAC Satin Lipstick, Myth
  • MAC All Blending Sponge, Coral
  • MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot, Soft Ochre
  • Benefit Watts Up, Soft Focus Highlighter, Champagne
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills, Brow Wiz in Medium Brown

I have to admit, for me, this was quite alot. I would say i only tend to do large premium branded make up buys twice a year at most, as i am a massive fan of high street. So will be interesting to see out of what i purchased, actually does what is meant too.

I have used Select Cover Up, many times before, and i am quite a fan, they come in alot of different shades for all skin tones, which is fab, i only really re- buy NW20, but thought to get a lighter shade for contouring etc...

Also i was in turmoil over what shade of lipstick to go for.... it was between Sin or Myth. I was looking for a nude lipstick, and i cannot pull off a bright bold shade. Joy. I went with Myth, and i am pleased. Its gorgeous.

I'm not going to waffle on about everything i got, but the only thing i am mega pleased with has to be the Anastasia BH, Brow Wiz. Its mental, its so good! The wand i tiny, and so accurate. Why didn't i get it sooner!!

The least excited and sadly disappointed product is Benefit's Watts Up, Highlighter. Its a lovely colour, but i had no idea what the point in the sponge at the end of it... I mean, it doesn't do anything at all! So sadly you cannot really blend the cream (its a stick), into your skin.

There you go guys!

Until next time.... Ta x
