REVIEW: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water & Garnier SkinActive Oil- Infused Micellar Cleansing Water

I have been aware of the Micellar craze for a while now, and even when i saw the original La Roche- Posay and Bioderma version i was instantly hooked.

It certainly does not disappoint either.

If you want clean fresh skin, that you can actually see for yourself, that also doesn't drag the skin, then this is for you.

Also Garnier released the Oil- Infused version which was a little dearer, but claims that it is ideal for drier, more sensitive skins- which at the moment suit me.

BUT

It also states it is 'non greasy' which i am afraid seems a tad bit of a porky pie....

It leaves a slick shiny look to your skin, which if you are a fan of, then by all means, crack on. I, myself am sadly not a lover of this.

So what are the pros and cons of both you ask?

Pros of the Micellar Water:

  • The price, which is usually on a promotion in most places, usually retails for around £3.99 mark
  • It does the job!
  • A little goes a long way, - but with both i would advise to use a facial wipe first to take the majority of your makeup off.
  • Decent amount in the bottle

Cons of the Micellar Water:

  • You do end up using a lot of cotton pads

Pros of the Oil- Infused Water:

  • Removes all of your make up just as well as the original
  • Decent sized bottle. All come as 400ml bottles unless they are the miniature ones
Cons of the Oil- Infused Water:

  • Greasy skin afterwards...its a no from me!
  • The price. Unless its on a promotion this is a little more expensive. Seen it for as much as £6.99
  • If you manage to get the water in your eyes, it can really irritate and sting

So my verdict every time is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water 10/10 versus 6/10 for the Oil- Infused version.

Ta for now C xx

REVIEW: John Frieda Brilliant Brunette 'Visibly Brighter' In- Shower Lightening Treatment

I am never happy with my hair, and lets be honest there are not many of us ladies who are.

I am literally itching to become a blonde again, Since this cannot be done due to a number of reasons, i thought i would give this a whirl.

I had seen the vlogger Nicole Guerriero give her personal review on this and was surprised when she had noticed the difference in her hair colour- so i thought, i want to try it too!

The product comes in a slim tube which comprises of 2 tubes put together, and once you've shampooed your hair and its completely wet you 'carefully' put the contents of this all throughout your hair. I would wisely suggest having a window open, as this smells!!

Partly my fault really, i should realise that it contains Hydrogen Peroxide.....Dingbat.

After 5 minutes of the product working just rinse out, and condition if you wanted to.

I would say that it has made my hair noticeably lighter which i am kind of impressed with. Worth the price.

It does state not to use more than once a month.

Bye lovelies C xx

My life is to be surrounded by my boys.

Hey peeps, its me!

Anyway, thought i would catch you up on whats been going on in my life this past 4 months...

So back before Christmas i felt something was 'up'. Turned out intuition does exist. I was expecting!

As you may or may not be aware of, the first few months are complete torture and the worst part of pregnancy if i am honest.

We have been to both our scans which, still to this day is magical and fascinating. (how can something be created from a moment of fun/madness ha)!

16 weeks (heard the heartbeat for the first time)
20 weeks (halfway)

21+4 weeks with a son!

We found out this Monday that we are having a boy. My third son. Something we are very very happy with indeed.

Beautiful baby boy.

But sadly this pregnancy has not been all flowers and rainbows. Due to me having a complicated pregnancy four years ago with my Mason, it seems my uterus is incredibly sensitive which leads to me being unable to walk for more than 20-30 mins at any one time. Contracting daily too.

But at least we can now get the items we need (or in my case, do not really need, and its more of an impulse shall we say), and prepare for the little man to arrive in early August.

Until next time... Ta xx
