REVIEW: Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in 1W1 Bone

Me again.

So after a few days of properly trying my new purchase, i have to say i am happily surprised.

Its pretty darn good!

What i am talking about is Estee Lauder's Double Wear Foundation and the shade is in 1W1 Bone.

I am a very naturally pale person, i do not tan easily, and do not spend hours per week tanning. I do find it incredible difficult to find a foundation that lasts like it supposedly states...

With the weather starting to finally warm up, and with high humidity also, i needed something that sticks.

Boy, this does not disappoint.

After cleansing my face and priming, and using a buffing brush, -i did notice you have to work quickly, and work it well into the skin- which isn't a problem, but for the first time, my neck and face actually seems to match! Yippee!!!

By late afternoon, early evening and having a nap (shock), my face looks the same. Amazing.

My skin currently is oily, especially on my T- zone, so for now this will work for me, i have heard that this foundation does tend to 'dry the skin', so will have to see.

I ordered mine directly from Estee Lauder's website and it cost me £30, and can be bought either online or on the counter itself.

Hope you have had a great weekend.

Until next time.

Get to know me tag: 21 Questions

Hey lovelies,

Today i'll do the tag where i answer 21 questions about myself.

I've seen this in quite a few blogs, and i thought it would be a nice idea to do this as well so you guys know more about me!

Here we go...

  1. Are you named after anyone? I was told many years ago that my name was between two choices. They flipped a coin to decide what my name was... Anyway that was untrue. Found out last January when my late nanny was sick, that my name was because of one of her favourite Classical pieces Clair de Lune by Debussy. So means alot.
  2. When was the last time you cried? I don't usually show much emotion, that's just how i am. I think the last time i cried was at my nanny's funeral last year.
  3. Do you have children? Yes i do. Two sons and expecting my first son with my new partner in August this year.
  4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself? Possibly...
  5. Do you use sarcasm a lot? Yes, i do. I think humor is important, you have to laugh daily, otherwise life becomes too serious.
  6. Will you ever bungee- jump? Absolutely not. I have a fear not only of heights, but of wacky things like bungee- jumping and skydiving etc... I have abseiled though, so that's me done haha.
  7. What do you have for breakfast? Either a juice or a coffee, i do not eat any food until later on in the morning.
  8. What's the first thing you notice about people? I try to work out their personality, to see what they are like before they speak. I'd like to think i get along with most people. I do not like stuck up brats, who think they are better than everyone else.
  9. What is your eye colour? Grey/ green. They were blue as a child.
  10. Scary movie or romantic ending? Honestly. Not fussed. I am not a big movie/ film fan, i prefer music.
  11. Favourite smells? A new car smell, American supermarkets ( its weird, i know) and coffee.
  12. Summer or Winter? Autumn! It seems to be nicer the later into the year in the UK of late. August thru October is generally not too hot or too cold.
  13. Computer or TV? Hmmm, tough one. Computer for YouTube, blogging and online shopping and TV for E! - Do not judge me. LOL
  14. What's the furthest you have ever been from home? California. Been so blessed to be able to travel to the USA as many times as i have. Very blessed.
  15. Do you have any special talents? Ha, i have no idea. I would like to think i have, but i guess that's debatable!
  16. Where were you born? Cambridgeshire, UK
  17. What are your hobbies? Spending time with my children and family on a weekly basis, blogging, listening to music, interiors, cooking and motorbikes/ cars.
  18. Do you have any pets? Yes, one Jack Russell. His name is Rex.
  19. Favourite movie/ film? Like i mentioned above, but i have a few which include- Romeo & Juliet, Titanic, and Se7en.
  20. Do you have any siblings? Yes, one sister who turns 26 on Monday.
  21. What do you want to be when you grow up? Well considering i am approaching the big 30 next September, i honestly do not have a clue. I just want to be happy like i am every single day that i am alive. Have a healthy and happy family. I wouldn't mind going back to college on a p/t basis to get my beauty back up to scratch. Who knows.

That's it!

Simples.

Until next time

3rd trimester: Pregnancy Update

Hey lovelies, i cannot believe i am 34 weeks today. How has that gone by so quick?

Whilst we have most of our baby things ready, which includes getting the moses basket all dressed, washing the clothes, and having the car seat sorted. we still have the odd bits to get sorted, which we will do as and when. Probably last minute!

But sadly i have been made aware that my baby is in a breech position. Which means i could have him in the next month. If i am honest, i am quite against it, not because of surgery, but because life for the 6 weeks will become alot more difficult in the terms of looking after my boys and general day to day errands.

So i have been given a list of, shall we say, interesting manoeuvres to get baby W moving.

Going swimming, and doing headstands under the water.
Frozen peas on the top of my abdomen area to get him to move away, and hopefully down.
Moxibustion which is the holistic approach and making my body go almost upside down for 3 breaths to get baby to flip.

I have till 36 weeks, 37 weeks at tops to get to see if he will move, before having a scan to confirm his position, and then to be booked in for a c section. Sob.

Also whilst i have been in the maternity hospital, i was tested twice to see if i would be likely to go into preterm labour. That test is called the Fibronectin test, which basically means the doctors take a sample of your cells from the neck of your cervix and it detects whether or not you would be going into labour within a 2-3 week period. So obviously it tested positive on both tests. Typical me.

So lets hope that the little monkey serious likes acrobatics and flips into the head down position, which could mean i go the full 42 weeks like my current youngest did, or baby number 3, will be here early August!

Pray for me.

Here we go again.... REVIEW Citroen C4 Picasso- Exclusive

So i have been here before...

*I do not own this vehicle, this is on a lease service for 12 months*

As you may or may not be aware, i am currently cooking baby boy number 3, and with that the car (my Seat Ibiza FR) needed to go pretty darn quick. We had a look at many different options out there, which included the Skoda Octavia, Hyundai Tucson, a Ford Mondeo Estate and this, the Citroen C4 Picasso.

I have been incredibly lucky in the past (and not so) lucky with my car choices, and had been able to have access to a brand new C4 Exclusive +. That car was seriously incredible!

Although this time around we have the spec down, which is the Exclusive, it still packs alot of kit, and most importantly it can carry 3 children plus their carseats. Which was the main winner ultimately.

Anyway, this car like i said needed to be able to be easy to drive and get about in, take 3 children and a dog, plus a pram and bags comfortably and easily.

The model we have is the 120 Blue HDi 120 S&S 6 speed manual, which packs a punch, and is certainly not slow. Which sadly most 'people carriers or mum vans' are.

This specification comes with front and rear parking sensors, built in satellite navigation, touch screen and led display, key less start and stop button and 17'' Anaconda alloy wheels. Boot is very generous too, at a whopping 537 litres expanding to 630 litres with all the back seats folding down, completely flat!

*excuse the junk in the trunk*

If you wanted to upgrade to the Exclusive + , then that comes with the above plus park assist (which is amazing i have to say), panoramic roof with closing blind, key less entry, integrated air freshener, tinted windows and blinds on the rear windows too.

Prices for the C4 Picasso start from £18,950 OTR and the Grand Picasso £20,650 OTR

In a years time, we will have to hand this back to the dealer, and choose what car we could have next.

Bye for now C xx
